Weather moving Amelia Island concours to Saturday

With a 100 percent forecast of rain Sunday, the 22nd annual Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance will be held Saturday, concours founder Bill Warner told The Daily News @ ClassicCars.com early Thursday morning.

The forecast predicts temperatures in the low 70s and no rain on Saturday, but 100 percent precipitation Sunday in the Jacksonville, Florida, area.

In its official announcement of the date change, the concours issued a new schedule for its official weekend events:

Saturday

9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Cars & Coffee at the Concours

9:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., Concours d’Elegance

11 a.m., RM Sotheby’s Amelia Island auction

7:30 p.m., Mercedes-Benz gala dinner

Sunday

10:30 a.m., Legends of the Leaping Cat / Jaguar racing driver’s seminar
