A classic car auction in a British museum of vintage warplanes will be held April 15 by H&H Classics and will feature 90 vehicles that range from a gracious 1969 Aston Martin DB6 Mk 2 to a 1959 Daimler Ferret MK 2/3 armored car sporting a machine gun.

The annual auction held at the Imperial War Museum in Duxford happens amidst the collection of aircraft from historic conflicts, although the only warfare expected will be between the bidders.

Topping the sale will be the Aston Martin that H&H describes as being “in wonderful condition and presented in the stunning combination of metallic silver with blue hide interior.” The car is valued at £200,000 to £240,000, or about $300,000 to $370,000 at today’s exchange rate.

A 1960 Austin-Healey Sprite Sebring fastback-coupe race car driven by Ian Walker during the 1961 season will be offered with a value of £80,000 to £100,000 ($119,000 to $148,000).

Sports cars from Ferrari, Porsche, Alfa Romeo and others will be included in the sale, which also features a number of pre-war classics, such as a bare-metal 1932 Riley 9 Gamecock valued at £32,500 to £37,500 ( $48,000 to $56,000) and the 1935 Alvis Silver Eagle/Speed 25 Special, estimated at £35,000 to £45,000 ($52,000 to $67,000).

That Daimler Ferret armored car, by the way, won’t be going to war either since H&H assures us that its Browning 0.30 caliber machine gun has been “deactivated.”
