The Simeone Automotive Museum will feature its latest acquisition, a 1948 Talbot-Lago T26 Grand Sport Coupe, during the Philadelphia collection’s next Demo Day, which takes place Saturday and will showcase significant European competition rally cars.

The public event – called “Rally!” – starts at noon and includes four of the greatest examples of vintage race cars that competed in European road rallies. The Talbot-Lago will be joined by a 1935 Jaguar 3.5 Liter SS 100, a 1954 Austin Healey 100-4 BN1 and a 1956 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing.

Demonstration days at the Simeone are designed to bring special cars out of the museum, and sometimes from other collections, so visitors not only can learn about the cars but see them in action.

“Using the expansive three-acre parking lot behind the museum, you can see, hear and smell history come to life through these magnificent machines,” according to the Simeone museum website.
