Street rodders select Memphis award winners

We recently shared photos of the “Pro’s Picks” at the National Street Rod Association’s Street Rod Nationals South in Chilhowee Park & Expo Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. Here are some additional award winners from that event, which was staged in the NSRA’s hometown:

The “Ford in a Ford” trophy went to a 1976 F-100 pickup owned by Chris and Steve Donaldson.

The “FAST” trophy, given in conjunction with the Fuel Air Spark Technology company, went to a 1934 Nash owned by Billy Dawson.

An “Outstanding Use of Color” award went to a 1950 Ford convertible owned by Dale & Jackie Dense.

A former daily newspaper sports editor, Larry Edsall spent a dozen years as an editor at AutoWeek magazine before making the transition to writing for the web and becoming the author of more than 15 automotive books. In addition to being founding editor at ClassicCars.com, Larry has written for The New York Times and The Detroit News and was an adjunct honors professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
