This weekend, July 25, the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum hosts its monthly demo day featuring cars that won international races in the 1950s and ‘60s for Briggs Cunningham, the American auto (and yacht) racing team owner. The cars featured will be a 1952 Cunningham C-4R Roadster, 1952 Jaguar C-Type, 1956 Jaguar D-type, and a 1961 Chevrolet Corvette.

Also at the museum this Saturday, Andy Pilgram, international road racer and safe driving expert, will speak on the dangers of distracted driving in his seminar, ‘Traffic Safety Education with racer Andy Pilgram.” Pilgram has won five racing championships and drives for GM Racing’s Team Cadillac. The seminar takes place at the museum at 11:00 a.m. and is free with the purchase of a general admission ticket.

Muscle Car Citys monthly flea market in Punta Gunda, Florida, runs from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. this Sunday, July 26. Also mark your calendar for Saturday, August 15, as that will be the museum’s next monthly car and bike show from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Saturday, August 1, in Sacramento, California, the California Automobile Museum hosts a car cruise and show featuring the Gig Garcia Band, a beer garden, food trucks, and vendor shopping. The cruise begin at 4:00 p.m. at Sacramento State University and travels along Fair Oaks Boulevard, ending in a car show at 5:00 p.m. on Fulton Avenue between El Camino and Marconi.

Also Saturday, August 1, the Gilmore Car Museum celebrates its Red Barn Spectacular. The event is part of the museum’s  35th anniversary and is the area’s oldest and largest antique, classic, and special interest car show and swap meet, featuring vehicles of all eras up to 1990. The show runs from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

The AACA Museum in Hershey, Pennsylvania, hosts the third annual Oldsmobile, Buick, and Pontiac Classic and Antique Automobile show Sunday, August 2. Registration for the show begins at 10:00 a.m. Registration is $18 and includes one admission to the museum. The first 50 cars to arrive will receive dash plaques and goodie bags. Additionally, food and drinks will be available and its free to spectate.

Save the dates — October 29 to November 6, — as the AACA Museum has a trip to Cuba planned. According to the museum, the spring trip was a sold out success that produced a waiting list.

Current exhibits at the museum include Back to the Future, which includes a tribute car on display, Automotive Jewelry, A Family Affair: Station Wagons and Motorbikes for the masses

On August 16, the Blackhawk Museum has arranged for a special VIP bus day trip to the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The bus leaves the museum at 6:00 a.m. and heads back from the show at 6:00 p.m. The round-trip package will include the bus transportation as well as admission to the Concour.

Mike Yager and the entire team at Mid America Motorworks invite you to join them in sending off CERV 1 at an August 1 “Adoption Party.”

“We adopted the car, so to speak, and now it’s time for CERV to find another well-deserving collector” said Mike Yager of his Corvette. The Adoption Party begins at 2 p.m. at the MY Garage Museum in Effingham, IllinoisSim.
