Since its founding in 2011, Silverstone Auctions has held all of its sales in the U.K. That changes May 28-29 when the British company ventures to Denmark to stage its first international sale at the Classic Race Aarhus motorsports festival. Silverstone will stage its sale in conjunction with Lauritz.com, a large Scandinavian online auctioneer.

“With this agreement, we have ensured that Classic Race Aarhus takes a prominent position on the international stage,” Niels Brochner, chief executive of Classic Race Aarhus, said in a news release. “Lauritz.com has a huge network of customers and Silverstone Auctions is highly respected among enthusiasts worldwide for its classic car auctions. With partners such as this it can only go well.”

”We expect that the auction will be spectacular with special cars from sellers in both the UK and Scandinavia, as well as buyers and collectors from around the world,” said Bengt Sundstrom, founder of Lauritz.com. “We are excited to be part of this market and believe that our passionate customers from 200 countries will be interested in classic cars as a collector’s item and an investment.”

Consignments for the sale are being accepted, with a focus on vehicles with left-hand drive.

The Classic Race Aarhus is a motorsports festival that raises money to support highway safety projects in Denmark.
