Salon Prive, one of Europe’s leading concours d’elegance, will celebrate its 10th anniversary September 3-5 with a new venue and a new event.
The new venue is Blenheim Palace, built in the early 18th century in Britain’s Oxfordshire countryside. The estate is the home of the 12th Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and also was the birthplace of Winston Churchill.
The new event is “Speed & Style,” a competition for supercars built since 1975.
Salon Prive was created by Andrew and David Bagley as a showcase for vehicles from bespoke classics and to modern performance cars. Since its launch, it has added luxury and lifestyle brands ranging from jewelry to fine art and executive jets to its presentation portfolio and has become a major concours d’elegance, with title sponsorship from Chubb Insurance.
The new location, which includes the palace and some 2,000 acres of gardens and surrounding parkland, is a UNESCO and World Heritage site near a group of luxury hotels at Woodstock.
The relocation also enables the organizers to add the “Speed & Style” competition for contemporary supercars and to offer visitors the opportunity to do a ride or drive in a variety of new luxury vehicles.
