Russo and Steele stages its 16th annual Scottsdale, Arizona, auction from January 27-31 and, in a nice piece of creativity and timeliness, offers a “Sweet 16” of sheetmetal, well, and maybe some fiberglass as well.
In its accompanying news release, the Scottsdale-based company noted that its hometown “is where the market values for collector cars are established each year,” and that “astute” collectors therefore make it their “primary lifestyle destination and ,year in and year out, it is the one of only a select group of internationally recognized locations that provides all the fundamental essentials that attract the best buyers and sellers from around the world.”

| 1971 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda 4-Speed coupe This 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda is one of 108 built in 1971, is equipped with the original 426cid/425hp engine along with the original pistol-grip shifter. | 1970 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Deuce Of approximately 175 1970 Yenko Deuce LT1 COPOs sold by Yenko Sports Cars, Inc., less than 100 are registered and accounted for today. Yenko Deuces were built in batches and the last batch of 50 have the distinction of having been completed at Hurst Performance prior to being delivered to Yenko Chevrolet. Of those only 10 were built in Citrus Green and only one of those had power steering and a 4-speed. This is that automobile. It was restored in 2015 by MASCAR / Detroit Muscle restorations in California, including a rebuild of its original matching-numbers drivetrain. | 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback S Code A pristine example of Ford’s most fearsome filly is an original 15,796 mile Boss built on February 20, 1969 and sold new at McCoy Ford in Anaheim, California. A rotisserie restoration retained original sheet metal, engine, transmission rear differential and most of its other factory components. This Boss 429 KK1346 was one of the first 279 produced their engines were tagged as 820-S, often referred to as "S Code." These were the most desirable engines since they were assembled with the NASCAR design connecting rods with 1/2-inch rod bolts. |  |
