Russo and Steele stages its 16th annual Scottsdale, Arizona, auction from January 27-31 and, in a nice piece of creativity and timeliness, offers a “Sweet 16” of sheetmetal, well, and maybe some fiberglass as well.

In its accompanying news release, the Scottsdale-based company noted that its hometown “is where the market values for collector cars are established each year,” and that “astute” collectors therefore make it  their “primary lifestyle destination and ,year in and year out, it is the one of only a select group of internationally recognized locations that provides all the fundamental essentials that attract the best buyers and sellers from around the world.”

1971 Plymouth Hemi ‘Cuda 4-Speed coupe
This 1971 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda is one of 108 built in 1971, is equipped with the original 426cid/425hp engine along with the original pistol-grip shifter. Dana Rear End, Shaker Hood, vinyl roof, tinted glass, Rally wheels, leather, Rally dash with AM/FM, power steering, rear window louvers, rear deck spoiler, billboards, wood steering wheel, and date-coded tires included on rotisserie-restored car owned by the same person for the last 29 years. Car authenticated by Galen V. Govier.

1990 Lamborghini Countach
From the last year of production, this Countach was one of only a handful produced in 1990. Finished in desirable color combination -- red over black -- while the odometer shows just over 29,000 kilometers from new. With a 16-year production run that spanned the entire 1980s, it’s obvious why the Countach became the poster child for a generation of enthusiasts, and late production units have always been considered to be the most comfortable and driver-friendly.

1957 Porsche 356 Speedster
Restored to a high standard including the factory-specified color combination, this 1957 356 Speedster is complete with documentation. An outstanding original car from San Diego, California was the foundation used to begin a stunning restoration by Porsche marque specialists in Newport Beach, California.

1970 Chevrolet Nova Yenko Deuce
Of approximately 175 1970 Yenko Deuce LT1 COPOs sold by Yenko Sports Cars, Inc., less than 100 are registered and accounted for today. Yenko Deuces were built in batches and the last batch of 50 have the distinction of having been completed at Hurst Performance prior to being delivered to Yenko Chevrolet. Of those only 10 were built in Citrus Green and only one of those had power steering and a 4-speed. This is that automobile. It was restored in 2015 by MASCAR / Detroit Muscle restorations in California, including a rebuild of its original matching-numbers drivetrain. Debuted at Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals VII, where it was awarded Concours Gold.

1966 AMC AMX 'The Plastic Prototype'
Dubbed “The Plastic Prototype,” this car was never intended for street use. The very first fiberglass “pusher” (no engine or internals) version of the AMX debuted at the Chicago Auto Show in February 1966, with a fastback design and rumble seat, referred to as the “Rambleseat.” AMC subsequently commissioned Italian coachbuilder Vignale to create a running version for the New York show. Safety outweighs speed when production began and fiberglass was replaced with steel and the “Rambleseat” disappeared.

2005 Ferrari 575 M Superamerica convertible
Featuring specially ordered “Out of Range” British Racing Green paint and Crema-trimmed "Daytona" style seats and interior appointments, this Ferrari includes bespoke Bordeaux piping and stitching as well as Scuderia shields, yellow calipers and the GTC handling and performance package with modular 19-inch rims. A dedication plate in silver, high-power hi-fi stereo with 6-disc CD changer, and prewired battery charger round out its features and options.

1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429 Fastback S Code
A pristine example of Ford’s most fearsome filly is an original 15,796 mile Boss built on February 20, 1969 and sold new at McCoy Ford in Anaheim, California. A rotisserie restoration retained original sheet metal, engine, transmission rear differential and most of its other factory components. This Boss 429 KK1346 was one of the first 279 produced their engines were tagged as 820-S, often referred to as "S Code." These were the most desirable engines since they were assembled with the NASCAR design connecting rods with 1/2-inch rod bolts.

1976 Porsche 911/930 Turbo
This first-year example of the Porsche 930 Turbo is an original California car that shows just 72,000 miles and features rare Salmon "paint to sample" per the accompanying Certificate of Authenticity. Retaining the original matching numbers 3.0L Turbo engine, it is freshly repainted to the original color and benefits from a major tune-up. Offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original books and signed warranty card.

1968 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi Super Stock
This factory-original "B029" Hurst Super Stock Hemi Barracuda is 1 of 70 produced. Car No. 13 was owned new and raced by "Akron" Arlen Vanke and is one of only a handful that were never cut up or wrecked, retaining its mint original body and trim, original body numbers and fender tag, pictures when found and during restoration, and documentation and provenance. The underwent a two-year rotisserie restoration and has the 426 Cross Ram Hemi engine built by Vanke himself!

1988 Ferrari Testarossa
This 1988 TR was finished in the desirable color combination of Rosso Corsa over Crema leather interior with Rosso carpet. The car, fresh as you would expect in such a low-mile example, has been very well preserved and remains in wonderful collector condition, having traveled just 4,621 miles from new. In preparation for the auction, this Testarossa received an annual service, and the invoice for that work will be included in the car’s file.

1964 Jaguar E-Type roadster Series I
Currently experiencing rocket ship type marketplace appreciation, this “Series I” 3.8-liter Jaguar E-Type roadster retains its original matching-numbers engine as verified by Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Certificate. It benefits from a bare-metal restoration wherein it was refinished in its original cream color, with a fully restored black Connolly leather interior and matching top.

1972 Porsche 911 S
From its purchase until late in 2013 this very original 1972 long nose 911 S was a one-owner car in Austin, Texas. Originally supplied with sport seats, a/c and no sunroof, it comes with extensive maintenance records. The black leather sport interior is in excellent original condition and only the carpet has been replaced. Mechanically this is an all numbers matching car and retains it originality throughout. Fuchs wheels reflect the overall external patina you would expect of such an exceptional original car. The originalengine went through a recent rebuild and was upgraded to 2.7 liter RS specs including RS-spec Bosch MFI pump. Comes with the Porsche COA, books, manuals and tools.

Richard Petty Edition 1969 Ford Torino GT 428 Cobra Jet
This 1969 Ford Torino GT "Richard Petty" Edition is finished in Petty Blue over Blue vinyl interior was 1 of 5 produced. In 1969 Ford held a sweepstakes in which the winners would receive one of these 428 Cobra Jet Torinos, delivered to their doorstep by Petty himself! Approximately 200 of these promotional Torinos were built but only five were optioned with the 428 Cobra Jet V8. Having never been restored, it's presented in its factory-original condition.

1993 Jaguar XJR-S
This Jaguar XJR-S has travelled just 48,600 miles since new and was recently serviced and is ready to drive and enjoy. Features ice-cold a/cm gorgeous leather and remarkable interior wood. The number plate on the console shows it is XJRS No. 018. It was built by Jaguar Sport working with Tom Walkinshaw Racing (TWR) and is one of a special run of 100 North American-spec cars.
