The Packard super 8 convertible was the automaker's most expressive car

  1. Quite a rare car. I think I owned this, buying it in 1958 from a used car lot in San Diego CA for $300. I lost it in a poker game and have recently searched for one nostalgically, in all the old auto sites. Mine was a paler cream color. It had nice red leather interior, a vacuum operated electromatic clutch, power windows etc etc. Burned a lot of oil but was quite powerful. I recall it being referred to as a Super Custom 300 convertible.
