So I’m at the SEMA Show, land of obnoxious, flashy, overdone, shiny, and yet still incredibly bad ass automobiles, and while I enjoy it, I find myself craving the seemingly endless hoods, rolling fenders, sharp angles and detailed craftsmanship that make up classic Duesenbergs. So while my Pick of the Day isn’t authentic, it is a fantastic replica of a 1929 Duesenberg.
According to the listing on ClassicCars.com, this Duesenberg is all steel and hand-built, bringing the car’s weight to over 4,000 pounds and more than 16 feet in length. The body panels, doors and hardware all fit together perfectly, the listing says, showcasing the thought and detail put into the build.
The listing states that the dashboard and console in the car are half-inch-thick wood that are hand etched and engraved. The interior boasts large amounts of head room, with seats that are adjustable and leather.
The car comes with six whitewall tires on wire-spoke wheels, including the side-mount spares, and is powered by a V8 engine with automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, chrome fog lights and chrome trumpet horns.
This Duesenberg Replica is listed by a dealer in Monroe, New Jersey, and offered at $17,900.
