People’s choice: Simeone will exercise four cars this Saturday

-

You may remember the story we ran last week about how the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Philadelphia was inviting everyone to vote to decide which three cars from its collection would participate in the People’s Choice Demo Day this Saturday.

Well, not only are the votes in, but they came in record numbers, so the museum has decided to exercise not just three cars but the top four vote-getters at its Demonstration Day program.

That program takes place in one of the museum’s parking lots and begins at noon Saturday (with December 6 in reserve as a potential makeup date should this weekend’s weather get nasty).

The four cars that will be demonstrated are the 1964 Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe, recently recognized as the car of the year in the International Historic Motoring Awards program; the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II; the 1970 Porsche 917 LH; and, in response to popular demand, the 1956 Jaguar D-type.

For additional information, visit the museum’s website.
