ClassicCars.com is seeking “Classic Car Community Hero” nominations for honors in conjunction with the seventh annual Collector Car Appreciation Day, set for July 8.
Collector Car Appreciation Day was created by the Specialty Equipment Market Association, SEMA, with help from Congressional Automotive Performance and Motorsports Caucus co-chairs Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) and Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) to recognize the role that automotive restoration and collecting play in society.

Perhaps it is someone who has gone above and beyond in service to others, who has organized car shows, or who lets eager children climb into his or her classic car?
Maybe the hero has allowed young drivers to take a turn at the wheel so they can see what it’s like to drive a vintage vehicle. Or maybe it’s someone who encourages young people to lend a hand, and learn the mechanical workings of a vintage car under the hood.
