Approximately 1,500 pieces of automobilia from well-known collectors will cross the block during the Kissimmee auction, set to take place January 15-24 at the Osceola Heritage Park in Florida. Neons, pumps, oilers, dealership signs and various porcelain signs are among the items being offered.
Four hundred of the items are from the Kim and Mary Kokles Collection, including rare signs, globes, cans, and more.
Pontiac Vertical Neon SignOther standout offerings include a right- and left-hand, single-sided neon porcelain Mobil Pegasus set. They measure 9 X 6 feet with glowing neon and working animation.
Offered on January 16 will be a number of Corvette models and Corvette-themed art work in addition to a collection of Bloomington Gold license plates.
Neon signs will be available for purchase on January 22-23 at the auction with highlighted pieces including a Buick Lubricare sign to an animated spark plug as well as dealership signs, among them an original Pontiac dealership sign that measures 145 inches tall and is double sided porcelain with neon features.
