The Mille Miglia rally runs May 14-17 in Italy and will include several cars from Jaguar Heritage, the British automaker’s historic car department. Drivers of those historic Jaguars range from a men’s fashion model to a celebrity chef to the head of Jaguar design.

To get the crews familiar with their vehicles and the nuances of the rally rules and technique, Jaguar Heritage staged a “Mini Miglia” in Scotland, starting at Loch Lomond, going north to Inveraray Castle, then south along The Rest And Be Thanksful route, which is used for the British hill climb championship.

The Mini Miglia was won by chef, TV “presenter” and car collector James Martin in the Ecurie Ecosse long-nose Jaguar D-type that was runner-up at Le Mans in 1957.

We think that, like us, you’ll enjoy the photos and the video Jaguar shared after its Mille warmup.
