The event takes its name from Ramapo College, which takes its name from the Ramapo Mountains near the border between northern New Jersey and “upstate” New York. The college is located in Mahwah, New Jersey. Concours classes include Lincoln and Continental, Pre-1971 Mercedes-Benz, Pre-1968 Jaguar, Air-cooled Porsches, Air-cooled Volkswagens, Microcars, Ford Thunderbird, Cobra-powered cars, pre-1964 British and Italian.

Admission is free and the event includes free health screenings — blood pressure, body mass index calculations and derma scan screenings — from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. by the Hackensack University Medical Center personnel.  A $15 lunch barbeque will be offered, and parking is just $10.

On Sunday, the Concours Drive starts with breakfast at 9:30 a.m. and includes a scenic drive to the Mohonk Mountain House and a catered lunch. Tickets for the drive are $100.

The concours benefits the college, a public institution of higher education located in Mahwah, New Jersey, and the Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation.
