Something new, something old… It’s not just for weddings anymore, it also applies to the 2015 Goodguys Rod & Custom Association’s events schedule.
The something new is the inaugural Goodguys North Carolina Nationals, scheduled for April 17-19 at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The something old is the return to the calendar of the Goodguys Nostaliga Nationals — and of vintage drag racing — which will be held for the fourth time but after a four-year hiatus, September 18-20 at Beech Bend Raceway Park in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
There also is one event-date change on the 2015 calendar with the 18th Colorado Nationals moving from June to its traditional fall date, September 11-13, at Ranch Events Complex in Loveland, Colorado.
The 2015 season starts and ends at WestWorld in Scottsdale, Arizona, where the sixth Spring Nationals are March 13-15 and the 18th Southwest Nationals are scheduled for November 20-22.
Thirteen of the Goodguys events in 2015 are for pre-1973 vehicles while eight are open to any year makes and models of American-made or American-powered cars and trucks. Seventeen events will include Goodguys AutoCross competitions.
In addition to the 2015 calendar, the Goodguys announced that the 2015 Grand Prize Giveaway Car will be a 1932 Ford hiboy roadster currently undergoing construction at Mike Goldman Customs.
Before the 2015 season begins, the Goodguys still have three events on their 2014 calendar: the 21st Southeastern Nationals, October 24-26 at Charlotte, North Carolina; the 25th Autumn Get-Together, November 8-9 at Pleasanton, California; and the 17th Southwest Nationals, November 14-16 at Scottsdale, Arizona.
