Team: Gas Monkey Garage
The Scottsdale Grand Prix welcomes a new team to the track this year, owned by television celebrity Richard Rawlings.
Rawlings is the host of Discovery Channel’s Fast & Loud. Each week Rawlings and mechanical prodigy Aaron Kaufmann search the far-flung corners of Texas and surrounding states for forgotten and derelict classic cars to buy and restore at Gas Monkey Garage in Dallas, Texas. While ‘in Rome,’ they’ll sometimes get in with the local customs and characters — and become the all American, full throttle road trip with attitude.
They’ll venture around the Scottsdale track on November 5 in a Gas Monkey Garage-branded vintage mini racer.
Team: Launch Real Estate
The Launch Real Estate team, owned by Ray Tiedje and Steve Simonelli, will be racing ‘round the streets of Scottsdale in a black MonoCar model vintage mini racer. Racer No. 50 comes complete with red lettering and trim. Expect to see the team keep pace, following a very solid performance in the 2016 Grand Prix with their rocket-nosed vehicle.

Team: Urban Luxe Partners
Owned by Dave Westbrook, the Urban Luxe Partners team will circle the track in a sleek, midnight-blue MonoCar vintage mini racer. In 2016 the team defined cafe-racing cool and this year it is back in racer No. 17.
Urban Luxe Partners is a to-producing real estate team offering a very personal perspective in all aspects of the market for buyers, sellers and investors.
Team: Overture Kierland
Owned by GreyStar Development, the Overture Kierland team will compete in an Italiano vintage mini racer No. 55+.
The ‘+’ in the team’s number represents the active 55+ community served by Overture Kierland. Its apartments offer resort-style amenities, stylish, modern residences and all home maintenance. The community rests near the breathtaking Arizona mountain ranges and just around the corner from Scottsdale dining, shopping and recreational experiences.
Team: Celebration Stem Cell Centre
Better known as the “Heels On Wheels” team, the Celebration Stem Cell Centre team did a great job in the first Grand Prix of Scottsdale in 2015. This year, it’s digging in its heels to make a run for the victory. Look out for their multi-colored CSCC logo on a white Italiano racer No. 56.
Celebration Stem Cell Centre is located in Gilbert, Arizona, and offers processing and banking of private umbilical cord blood, Wharton’s jelly stem cells, public cord blood donations, Adipose tissue, Adipose stem cells, Dental pulp stem cells and other adult stem cells. It also offers services for contract manufacturing, contract research and development and submission of IRB proposals based on its clients’ research needs.
