In case you haven’t made it over to Italy to tour the fabulous Ferrari museums, Google Maps presents the means to visit from the comfort of your own computer. Three street-view tours are available of both the Museo Ferrari in Maranello and the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena.
With the virtual tours, you can stroll at your leisure through one floor of the Museo Ferrari at the company headquarters, stepping up close to some of the world’s most significant sports cars and competition cars housed there.
Two tours are offered of the Museo Enzo Ferrari, which celebrates the life of the company founder and guiding light, and the cars he created. The Google map tours include a walkthrough of the museum showroom of historic performance machines, and a look inside the adjacent workshop building in which some of Ferrari’s greatest motorsports legends beckon. The workshop building was Enzo Ferrari’s boyhood home and his father’s attached garage.
As with all Google Maps tours, the Ferrari museums were photographed in the recent past so that the periodic exhibits might not be current.
To access the tours, go to Google Maps and type in “Ferrari Museum.” A map will come up with a photo of the museum. Click on the photo, then use your cursor to guide the little yellow man on one of the tours.
