The Zoute Grand Prix is a car-themed party staged in Belgium to mark the end of the collector car driving season in much of Europe. It began as a classic car rally and has grown to include luxury-car showcases, a tour for GT cars, a concours d’elegance, and a Bonhams auction.
The Bonhams sale is scheduled for October 6 at Knokke-Le Zoute and offers a docket of supercars and what is billed as “the world’s most luxurious 4×4.”
The 4×4 is one of 99 2017 Mercedes-Benz Maybach G650 V12 Biturbo Landaulets and is being offered directly from the Mercedes factory, Bonhams notes in its news release, which adds that of the 99 produced, all but this one were pre-sold by the end of the vehicle’s debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
“Widely considered the most luxurious 4×4 available, the Landaulet marries a potent V12 biturbo engine with individual heated massage seats and limousine inspired decadence,” Bonhams reports. “The vehicle is being sold in conjunction with the Laureus Sports for Good foundation, a charity which supports more than 100 programs in 40 countries, fighting to address issues surrounding health, education and conflict resolution.”
Also on the docket is a 1968 Ferrari 365 GTC coupe, the 20th of 150 built, and originally delivered to Edouard Washer from Jacques Swaters’ Garage Francorchamps. The Ferrari’s pre-sale estimated value is €730,000 to €870,000 ($870,000 to $1.035 million).
Other rarities are a 2004 Aston Martin DB AR1, one of only 99 produced in a joint-project by the automaker and Italian design house Zagato., and a 1999 Aston Martin V8 long-wheelbase Volante, one of only 25 such built.
The docket also offers a 1993 Jaguar XJ220; a 1-of-43, 25th anniversary 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2-liter cabriolet; a 1994 Ferrari 456 GT coupe; a 1975 Porsche 911S 2.7 sunroof coupe; a 1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mk1 BT7 roadster; and a 1989 BMW Z1 roadster driven only 17,000 kilometers since new.
