The Goodguys Rod & Custom Associaton kicked off its 2016 show season last weekend at WestWorld of Scottsdale, Arizona, where over 2,000 show cars, rods, customs, trucks, and muscle cars filled the polo field and upper padocks.

The winners circle included:

  • Tom Karp’s 1961 Buick, the season’s first finalist for Custom Rod of the Year;
  • Alan Miller’s 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle, the first Muscle Machine of the Year finalist;
  • Tom Anderson’s fresh ’56 Ford as the first Truck of the Year-Late finalist.

In addition to the beautiful cars, the event featured an autocross, won by Scott Fraser (Pro and Duel transfer winner with a 106.001 lap), Adam Watkins in Street Machine at 111.406, Speedtech Performance in the truck class at 112.244, Ken Burk in Hot Rod with a 136.390, and Marshall Machado in All American Sunday at 113.578.
