The Ferrari Club of America’s Southwest Region staged its seventh Concorso Ferrari last sunday on historic Old Pasadena’s Colorado Boulevard. More than 140 of the finest classic and contemporary Ferraris adorned the trendy boulevard.
Marv Landon, event organizer and board member of FCA SW said, “The event is the ultimate convergence of classic and contemporary cars from Cavallino set in this charming locale.”
The event allows members to compete in special categories and show off some of the finest Prancing Horses on the West Coast. The annual rose Parade on January 1 put Pasadena on the map but this time a sea of red and yellow Ferrari machines attracted thousands of car enthusiasts and families strolling the boulevard “gawking” over the most spectacular automotive machinery in the world.
Many sponsors and partners displayed exceptional sports and luxury cars offering accessories and apparel and introduced various related services.
Spectators were able to meet the car owners, listen to on site interviews and to “drool” over Ferrari examples not usually seen by the public while also doing window shopping and indulging in the fine restaurants along Colorado Boulevard.
Best of Show honors went to a 1952 Ferrari 212 Export owned by Peter Mccoy and the Best Car on the Street award went to a 2014-/15 Ferrari LaFerrari owned by Ken Roath. A special Award of Excellence went to Tony Shooshani and his Ferrari Sergio, one of only six such cars built.
