Held within the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, the ninth annual Las Vegas Barrett-Jackson auction captured the essence of Sin City with an array of flashy, glamorous and over the top cars along with many recognized and beloved iconic vehicles.

As guests browsed the hundreds of collector cars, it seemed as if there was something even more unique in the next row of consignments. Everything from classic fire trucks to Land Speed Record holders could be spotted, including a Mini Cooper limo complete with a hot tub.

Several cars from the guys at Gas Monkey Garage were offered at the auction, including a 1967 Chevrolet Camaro that had been lifted and a show-stopping 1930 Ford Model A.

Movie cars were in abundance as the 1976 AMC Pacer from Wayne’s World wowed crowds, and achieved a record breaking sale’s price of $37,400, while Mustang enthusiasts drooled over an Eleanor look-a-like.

The Tammy Allen collection seamlessly fit the glitzy venue as her collection included a pair of Mustangs designed by George Barris for Sonny and Cher, as well as a custom Mercury coupe named “Wasabi” for its brilliant green paint, and many other unique, custom builds.

Among the auction action was the reveal of Tom DuPont’s new 2017 twin-turbo Audi R8 featuring over 1,500 horsepower. The R8 was created by Jo Borras and his Speedriven team and reportedly is capable of an eight-second quarter mile. The car is the first of 25 to be produced featuring DuPont’s signature and logo.
