The sound of bagpipes echoed around the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona, last weekend during a ceremony honoring veterans of every age and of every branch of the U.S. military during the 3rd annual Veteran’s Car Show.

After the bagpipes concluded, each veteran in attendance was invited to the front of the stage to receive a dash plaque, a hug, and to be thanked for their service by event organizer Nancy Perry and others helping her run the show.

The Veteran’s show benefits local chapter 432 of the Vietnam Veterans Association. Funds have been allocated to the chapter’s scholarship program, as well as to emergency Veteran and Family Funds, and other veteran’s programs in the Phoenix area.

The VVA provides resources to Vietnam veterans in health care, finance, and education.

In addition to honoring veterans, the show presented awards in 40 vehicle classes and featured live music and various vendors.
