‘When we were offered this auction, we were dazzled,” said Frank Adam, commercial manager of Troostwijk Auctions, which is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
“If you visited America in the Fifties or Sixties, you really would think you’d stepped back in time,” he added. “And anyone who has seen the film Black to the Future can now see for themselves what sort of cars Marty McFly had to skateboard around.”
Adam was speaking of an auction taking place December 22 in the Dutch city of Culemborg, where, Adam said in a news release, “The owner of these wants to dispose of his hobby, which has gotten out of hand. His children have no interest in the collection.”
Adam said his company expects primary interest in the cars to come from the U.S. and the United Arab Emirates, where classic American cars also are popular.
