Dragone Auctions’ 2015 Fall Auction is Saturday at the company’s headquarters in Westport, Connecticut, where the docket includes 60 vehicles, several of which have been tucked away for nearly half a century.
Among those are:
* A 1924 supercharged Mercedes 24/100/140 Fleetwood sport touring (pre-auction estimated value $1.2 to $1.4 million).
* A 1935 Ford Spyder with coachwork by Carrozzeria Viotti ($475,000 to $600,000).
* An Exemplar 1 concept car with coachwork by Carrozziere Coggiolla ($1.5 million to $1.8 million).
“We are very proud of the significant consignments that we have put together for our second annual October Fall Auction,” Alex Dragone said in a news release. “As we continue to hold our auctions we continue to outdo ourselves in every auction getting better and more significant cars each time. We manage to unearth very significant cars that even our larger competitors could not fathom.
“We are now able to present two auctions a year without compromising the quality of the vehicles presented.”
