British auction house Coys says is one of the largest collections of Cadillacs ever offered at auction will be part of a sale of American and European classic cars to be held January 10 at Les Grandes Marques, Interclassics and Topmobile show at Maastricht, The Netherlands.
The cars are from the Stassys Brundza Collection, which Coys said is one of Eastern Europe’s most significant private collections. The cars, some 100 of them, are being offered with no reserve.
An early 1904 Cadillac B 4S is one featured lot. The car inherited its single-cylinder engine but had a longer wheelbase for better stability and more room in its two-seat passenger compartment. The car rides on artillery wheels and has a pair of brass headlights. Its pre-auction estimated value is $70,000 to $90,000.
Another headline vehicle is a 1959 Cadillac Sedan De Ville “flat top.” The car, in Princess Green paint with a preserved beige interior, has fewer than 52,000 miles on its odometer. Pre-auction estimate is $35,000 to $45,000.
Also in the catalog is a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Series 75 limousine carrying an estimated value of $25,000 to $30,000.
“Once again we’re delighted to be chosen to handle another significant classic car collection,” Chris Routledge, managing partner of Coys, said in a news release. “In December alone we handled the Muller collection from Switzerland and the Fink family from Bayern Munich’s collection in London, but now to have the Brundza collection is a further achievement.
“We have over 100 classic cars and motor bikes available, and yet again, the interest and response in our upcoming auction has been excellent.”
