Britain-based collector car auction house Coys has announced it will stage a “major classic and sports car auction” in conjunction with the Paris Motor Show (Mondial de L’Automobile) on October 8.
“We are delighted to announce our presence at the Paris Motor Show as exclusive auction partners,” Chris Routledge, chief executive of Coys, said in a news release. “This is the beginning of a very interesting new feature for the show.
“We are so excited about this possibility and feel as an international auction brand that our association with the show is in symmetry with the global nature of our auctions, attracting interest from all over the world,” he added. “Coys auction at the Paris Motor Show will be a groundbreaking one.”
In its announcement, Coys noted that the Paris show, held every other year, is the largest in the world in attendance — drawing more than 1.25 million people in 2014 to Paris Expo, Porte de Versailles. Coys promises to offer “a selection of the most sought-after and iconic classic, modern and sports cars under the hammer at the international biennial event.”
The Paris show runs from October 1-16. Coys sale will take place midway through the show calendar.
