Coys staged an auction doubleheader last year and is doing it again, January 14, when it has simultaneous sales, one at the Autosport International gathering in Birmingham, England, and the other at the Interclassics event in the Netherlands.
About 100 classic and sports cars will be offered between the two venues.
“We are welcoming the new year with two simultaneous international auctions, offering some of the most desirable classic, sports, racing and rallying cars available on the market,” Chris Routledge, Coys chief executive, said in a news release. “The doubleheader shows the international reach of the company and we hope to achieve outstanding results at both events.”
Among the more than 50 vehicles available at the British venue are racing cars that include a 1996 Porsche 993 Cup car, a 1964 Marcos 1800 GT in which Roger Ealand won multi championships, and an ex-works 1998 Honda Accord raced in the British Touring Car Championship by Peter Kox.
Also on the docket is an original and unrestored matching-numbers 1965 Iso Rivolta IR 340. Coys notes that the luxurious coupe was created by Renzo Rivolta, then chairman of Iso Automotoveicoli S.p.A., and former Ferrari engineer Giotto Bizzarrini. The car has a 5.4-liter V8 engine, and Coys says it runs and drives but “is in need of a restoration to bring it back to its former glory.”
Other cars crossing the block in the UK include a 1974 Ferrari 246 GT Dino, a 1948 Bentley Mk VI in the style of 4½ Litre Tourer, a 1971 Range Rover Suffix A, a 1960 Facel Vega HK500 and a Mille Miglia-eligible 1953 Lancia Aurelia B22.
Meanwhile, at Interclassics at Maastricht in the Netherlands, featured vehicles will include a 1952 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT Series 2 with coachwork by Pininfarina, a 1965 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1, a 1953 Austin Healey BN1 project car), a 1963 Citroen DS Cabriolet by Chapron and a 1979 Ford Capri 3.0 RS.
Other lots include a 1978 Porsche 911 3.0 SC “Rijkspolitie” high-speed pursuit vehicle, a 1956 Austin Healey 100M BN2 Le Mans, a 1972 BMW 3.0 CSi and a 2000 BMW Z8.
