1962 Chevrolet Corvette 327/360 Convertible

Editor’s note: This is the second in a 10-day sponsored series featuring cars to be sold June 21-24 during Barrett-Jackson’s Northeast auction.

Offered without a reserve during the second annual Barrett-Jackson Northeast auction, this 1962 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is the final year of the first generation and as such represents the ultimate in refinement for the earliest models. Quite simply, it’s a car that runs as strong as it looks.

The Corvette has been subject of a frame-up restoration that has returned it to a like-new condition. A close look from any angle reveals a highly detailed frame and engine compartment that carries a factory-like appearance.

Power for this Corvette comes from a 327ci V8 hooked to a 4-speed manual transmission with optional fuel-injection. The car is seen is seen in red with a white soft-top, red hardtop, and black interior.

The overall fit and finish of this outstanding car is something that has to be closely inspected to be fully appreciated.
