Known for performance automotive parts since 1958, Hurst chose to celebrate its golden anniversary in 2008 by creating 50 special-edition Viper coupes and convertibles.
The Hurst 50th anniversary limited-edition Viper was only available in white or black with gold stripes. with the exception of two Hurst Vipers, one a coupe, the other a convertible, each painted flat gold with black stripes.
Offered from the Tammy Allen collection without reserve at Barrett-Jackson’s Las Vegas auction is the second Hurst-edition car produced. It also is the first convertible and the only one in flat gold paint.
Driven only 146 miles, the Hurst Viper is powered by 8.4-liter 10-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed manual transmission and features a Corsa exhaust, polished wheels unique to the limited-edition cars, Motion Club Sport adjustable coilovers and Eibach springs.
A Hurst pistol-grip shifter was included as were Hurst-logo embroidered into the leather seats.
