My Classic Car: Ron’s 1964 Ford Fairlane 500

-

Fairlane was built in San Jose and lived there until it moved to North Carolina | Ron Fairman photos

My car was manufactured in the San Jose, California, assembly plant and the original owner purchased it from a dealer in San Jose. The car lived in California until I purchased it from a dealer in North Carolina, George’s Mercury Farm. I’m the second titled owner.

The car is a Fairlane 500 two-door hardtop powered by a 289 with a four-speed on the floor, in front of the bench seat. It still carries the original wire wheel covers.
