Back in time, 1966. My first car was a 1958 Chevrolet Delray. I bought it off a friend. I borrowed the money from my mother and I paid her back while working at a gas station after school.
It was powered with a 283 and a Powerglide and had a Sun tach on the dash.
When I got the car it was that dreadful green with grey interior. A friend of my father, Melvin Jones, painted it Corvette sunflower yellow and I bought a used set of chrome reverse wheels.
It was a great car that I really enjoyed driving.
