My father bought this Fiat when all imported cars were banned in India. He drove this car until 2010. He loved this car like anything.
He had seen success in his business and this car had supported him in his journey. However, he couldn’t maintain it after 2010 as he was tired, so he kept it in his garage.
My late father, Mr. Kiran Goragandhi, was a true car lover. I remember him telling me of a dispute between him and his brothers regarding his 1960 Chevrolet Impala, my father loved his Chevy so much that he didn’t allow his brothers to use it so he buried it.
My father passed away in January 2013. In his memory, I restored the Fiat to its original glory. Now, whenever I drive it, I feel I am driving the car sitting on his lap as I did when he taught me to drive in this car when I was 12 years old. Since I was short at that age, I would sit on his lap and he would control the accelerator, brakes, and clutch and I would handle steering and the gears.
I drive the car every Sunday, remembering him and missing him.
Very Good, The car looks as if it just come form showroom.Keep it up.
I had an 1100D wagon back in the late 70s. It was a real fun car, and I wish I still had it.
