I relocated to Valencia (in northern Los Angeles County) earlier this year from the Midwest. Being in the land of sunshine, warmth and dry heat, I longed to own a roadster, drive through twisty canyon roads and feel the wind on my face.

In March, I purchased a Factory Five Roadster which was completely assembled and ready for the road.

It has a more modern 302 cid Ford 5-liter engine with electronic fuel injection vs. the 427 side-oiler that’s quite common amongst such replicas.

Yes, I know it’s a fiberglass copy (of a 1965 Shelby Cobra), but seeing the real thing sells for over a million dollars, it’s a relatively cheap thrill.
