Whatever you might decide, the owner since new of just such a car, a 1970 Ford Falcon 429 SCJ, is sending the vehicle with only 5,300 documented miles to the Carlisle Events auction taking place during the Winter Florida AutoFest at the Sun ’n Fun complex in Lakeland, Florida, from February 26-27.
In addition to being a low-mileage one-owner survivor car, the Falcon features a 4-speed transmission, locking rear differential with 4:30 gears, power front disc brakes, AM/FM radio and magnum 500 wheels. The original wheels and a Marti report are included in the sale.
Other significant vehicles crossing the auction block at the Carlisle sale include a 1934 Chevrolet Master 5-window coupe that has under 1,000 miles logged since its recent restoration, and a 1998 Kenworth T600 that has been packed with every available Kenworth option at the time of production.
The truck comes with a 1080 DLP/HD video projection, a Blu Ray player and drop down motorized screen with 5.1 THX-surround speakers and LCD TV, a digital fireplace that doubles as a pass through to the cab, Creston touch screen system automation, Lutron electric light dimming system, and motorized window shades.
I had never seen one of these 1970 Falcons! I’m thinking Ford re-branded a Ford Fairlane.
This is a beautiful car Ford has always been my favorite car for drag racing or show. I remember the Grandtorino with a 429 cobra jet but not a falcon. As a disable Combat vet all I can do is look and dream for I never had the opportunity to have a vehicle of such beauty or power. If you ever have a give away or the opportunity to get such a vehicle like this beautiful car I would surely like to know a dream of the very best would be to have or drive a vehicle like this a jewel is what I would call this. I drove one of these Falcons with the SCJ Drag-Pak with a shaker.The car was Grabber Orange like the one mentioned, however no vynil roof. The car that I drove as a dealer demo was equiped with a C-6 auto and 3.91gears. These cars only came out as a 19701/2 Ford Falcon (Not a Torino).The car I drove was a Cheapie Sleeper DSO with sound deletion pkg. which included Black rubber floor mats and radio delete.Bare bones and FAST!!!
