After being separate events for 10 years, the Carlisle Import and Kit Nationals and Carlisle Performance and Style Nationals will become the Carlisle Import and Performance event, scheduled for May 20-22 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
Carlisle Events says the combined show will feature over 100 years of automotive history with cars separated by country of origin. Visitors to the show can do an “around the world tour,” getting their passports stamped at various places to be eligible for prizes.
Germany will be the featured country for 2016 with cars from BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Volkswagen and others.
In addition to the world cars, the event includes kit car displays and autocross and drifting hosted by NICOClub. Additional activities include low car limbo, rolling exhaust contest, burnout contest, and Carlisle’s signature swap meet, car corral, and midway.
