For more than 40 years Carlisle Events has hosted some of the grandest classic car events in the country, featuring specialty shows for everything from Mustangs and Corvettes to import and kit cars. Each Carlisle event is half-county fair and half-Disneyworld for the car enthusiast.
This year figures to be another such year for Carlisle, which holds its next event, and the third of the year, Spring Carlisle, April 22-26.
Spring Carlisle at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, will feature a collector and classic car swap meet, car corral and auction.
The auction always offers a mix of great deals as well as record prices. Visit the auction website for details.
Spring Carlisle brings together thousands of car enthusiasts who are there to browse the 8,100 vendor booths, check out the cars for sale, explore the car corrals and to celebrate all things automotive.
Quickly after Spring Carlisle is the Carlisle Import and Kit car Nationals, May 15-17. This event plays hosts to anyone and everyone with a imported car. Expect to see everything from Audis to Volvos and everything in between.
The show is made more fun by being having its car show areas divided by country of origin. There is an Italian area, a British area, a German area, a huge Swedish area, a Japanese area, and even a French area.
Besides the show field there is the swap meet that is one of the last remaining big import car swap meets on the East Coast. If you are looking for that hard to find Triumph, Porsche or Saab part you are likely to find it there. (Last year we bought a NOS 1970 Datsun 240Z dashboard assembly that was still in the box.)
