Due to the increased popularity of the auctions that take place during select events organized by Carlisle Events, the auction team has added an additional day to its Spring and Fall events.
“We are thrilled to be expanding to a three-day format for our upcoming Spring Carlisle Auction,” said Tony Cline, director of auction operations.
According to Cline, the 2016 Fall Carlisle event was the most successful Carlisle auction to date in terms of consignment quality, volume, and bidder registration. “Because of that, we now feel it is the perfect time to move forward with expanded offerings,” he said.
The Spring Carlisle takes place April 19-23 at the Carlisle Fairgrounds in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and the auction will be held just down the street, April 20-22 in the Carlisle Expo Center. The five-day show includes a swap meet as well as the north side collectors corner, a car corral, and the Daily Driver Blow Out area, a space dedicated to future classics and daily drivers. The event features metal fabrication seminars by Steve Mercurio of Pro Metal Shop and an opportunity to talk about the latest classic car aftermarket products with ARMO product experts.
The three-day format allows cars and collectibles to begin crossing the auction block at approximately 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday while Saturday of auction weekend is slated to start at 10 a.m. The schedule allows over 400 consignments to cross the block.
Prior to the Spring show, Carlisle Auctions will run a two-day sale in Lakeland, Florida, as part of Winter Auto Fest. Following the spring show, Carlisle Auctions returns to the fall event, set to run from September 27 – October 1, while the auction is set to run September 28-30. The conclusion of the Carlisle Auction season will be in Lakeland for the Fall AutoFest with a two-day sale in November.
