Barrett-Jackson picks Proxibid as online bidding partner

Beginning with Barrett-Jackson’s 14th annual Palm Beach auction next month, online bidders can participate in the sale from anywhere in the world as a result of a partnership between the auction house and  Proxibid, which becomes the exclusive provider of online bidding services.

Proxibid offers a comprehensive risk management system developed to facilitate high-dollar transactions. It is involved in more than14,000 sales events each year.

“Online bidding has been a part of Barrett-Jackson since the late 1990s” Craig Jackson, chairman and chief executive of Barrett-Jackson Auction Company said in a news release. “This partnership takes it to the next level.

“This partnership signifies Barrett-Jackson’s growing commitment to the digital world, and changes the way our company interacts with global buyers,” he added
