Highlighted by several barn-found vehicles, many from “time-capsule” collections, H&H Classics inaugural auction late last week at Britain’s National Motorcycle Museum produced sales of £872,000 ($983,590).

“Once in a while, doing what I do, you stumble across a collection which is pure magic,” Damian Jones, head of sales for H&H Classics, said of the Home Farm Collection in a news release.

“The contents of this horde could have met the vehicular needs of an entire village during the late 1930s from the squire downwards. The fact that many of the motorcycles and motorcars were still swathed in dust and cobwebs only added to the fascination of what can best be described as an automotive ‘time-capsule.’ True enthusiasts at the sale loved this collection.”

The collection included 11 motorcars and motorcycles and all of them sold, led by a 1912 Buick Model 35C Tourer that brought £12,937 ($16,700). Prices include buyer’s fees.

The top sale of the auction was a 1971 Jaguar E-type V12 coupe that brought £52,312 ($67,525). A 1938 Austin 20hp Mayfair limousine purchased new by the Fifth Marquess of Bath to carry Marina, Duchess of Kent, sold for £13,950 ($18,000).
