Berlin-based online auction house Auctionata will stage its second Internet automobile auction, Classic Cars & Collectibles, on February 27.
The company reported nearly $1.6 million in sales at its inaugural all-online classic car auction in December.
The docket for the February sale includes a 1975 Maserati Merak, 1961 Mercedes-Benz 190 SL, 1962 Porsche 356 Super 90 coupe, 1963 Opel A Kadette coupe, 1938 Auto Union DKW Type F7 cabriolet, 1937 Steyr 50 “Baby,” 1962 Cadillac DeVille convertible, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro “big block” RS/SS, 1962 Austin Healey 3000, a 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo, and a custom-built 1968 Ford Mustang sport wagon.
The sale also includes the 1970 Jaguar 420 G formerly owned by Dr. Hans Lauda, Austrian industrialist and grandfather of Formula One racing star Niki Lauda. The car, with 20,499 kilometers on its odometer, is in original unrestored condition.
The auction will be co-hosted on the Internet by rally driver Rauno Aaltonen, who will present the vehicles and comment on their condition as each is introduced for bidding.
Auctionata was founded in 2012 as an art auction company but last year decided to join the classic car marketplace.
The complete docket is available at the Auctionata website.
