Goodguys open ‘Duel in the Desert’ to autocross groups

The Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has announced a new alliance with the SCCA, USCA and ASP to find and qualify the fastest autocross racers for the annual “Duel in the Desert” that takes place at the Goodguys’ annual Southwest Nationals in November in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Racers can compete in a pre-1973 model car at 27 qualifier events around the country. In addition to $20,000 in prize money, the winner of the finals November 21 becomes the Goodguys’ 2015 AutoCrosser of the Year.

One winner will emerge from each of the qualifier events to compete in the “Duel in the Desert.”
